I have had writer's block for a while now, so sorry for not posting stuff in a while. I've been working more on my books then short poems. If I can, I'll post some bits and pieces of stories I'm working on.
If needed I'll work on my four drafts I have lying around since my views have been going down. I promise to post something by the end of today.
i wrote my 1st poem and was wondering what you thought. it took like 5 seconds.

all i had to offer
i tried to make you perfect
in which i did succeed
and yet now i'm lost
with nothing left.
you've drained me completely
i don't know who i am
or what i even stand for
i've lost my imagination
and find myself a realist
i've given you my optimism
and now evil is all i see
my faith and friends have disappeared.
Now i'm left with nothing but you
you've taken everything from me
and now you're pushing me aside.
so i stand here and look at you
as the one i used to be
and realize there's nothing left of me.
Wow. I can't imagine what must have happened, but I can really feel the emotion somehow. The last line is always the most important, and you just blew it away. To write this in only a matter of about 5 seconds (Probably just like my 5 seconds) is actually pretty amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou open up a lot of emotions with your poem, which is the biggest hardship in writing, to connect with the reader.
