Erased Out Part 9

-That other guy, he made me remember. What he said about the Dean's late husband.-

Celia's eyes widened in realization. "That's right, he did say he was in an accident. But how would he know you were in an accident? And what he said about her being biased..."

As the idea sunk into the two girls, Celia shook her head. "I have to go. Mister Kaye and Miss Genelle are waiting for me. I'll see you in the next class. Alienia."

They waved goodbye to each other and Alienia was left alone on the bench. The silence bothered her so much, she started tapping her foot on the ground in order to break the heaviness of the air. She had finished nearly half her lunch when the bell rang again. As she stood up, a pain in the leg that wasn't tapping made her gasp in shock. The leg couldn't take her weight so she fell back onto the bench, her notebook and lunch falling back to the ground. Alienia noticed her mouth still formed a string of curses as she held her leg, willing the pain to vanish. A minute passed and the sharp pain dulled enough to walk back to the classroom. She gathered her belongings and gritted her teeth in order to force herself not to walk with a limp.

She made it back to the classroom with more than enough time to spare. The teacher was already in the class and was writing the lesson plan on the board. The teacher was different than the others so far. Instead of a formal, or even a semi-formal, suit, Ms. Cartwright wore a straight-legged, cheap pants and an over-sized jacket that didn't match the pants. A headband held back the short, curly mass of hair on the smaller sized woman.

As Alienia walked towards her, the teacher looked in her direction, then burst into a smile.

"Alienia, right? So glad to have you in my class. Hope you didn't hear any weird rumors about me yet, since most of them are true. Don't worry, I'm probably the most relaxed teacher in the school so no need to be formal in this class. The class in Literature and Art is more of how the two mix and how they effect the other. We read and look at artist interpretations. Any questions?"

Alienia shook her head, mostly to keep it from reeling in disbelief.

"Do you have a seat yet?"

Alienia pointed to the seat that Celia had pointed out to her during lunch.

"That's fine then. Haruna only comes half the time anyway. Poor little girl. Anyway, we've been doing portraits of our partner. I don't know if anyone doesn't have a partner yet. How good are you at art?"

-Not very. I'm good at nature, not people.-

"Oh well, I'm sure you'll do alright. Ah, Kyoya. Didn't think you were coming today."

A/N:
Holy crap. I've never typed anything that fast before. I does seem much shorter than the last two though.  Stupid wide ruled, messing with me. And probably due to the fact that Alienia barely writes anything in this part.
Anyway, you meet Ms. Cartwright! She is based of my previous editor that had to leave due to college. *sad*
Squirrel actually does look a lot like Cartwright, and even the way they would act is similar. She becomes important so pay attention to what she says.
And guess what? Kyoya's in the class again! Lucky little Alienia!
So, as the only side note for the story to help you see what's going on: What happened to Alienia is like a pain response to memories. She was in a car accident less than three and a half months ago, and the pain in her leg, is still there.
I'm telling ya this now!
Pay really close attention to the detail!! It's important later on.
Ja ne! Hope you enjoyed the three parts in one day! I do believe I'm behind only one part now! Yayz!
And now I get to eat dinner in seven minutes before taking a shower. I cut it close.
